Every measurement so far is on one M1 under Metal. Testers will bring Windows PCs with integrated or older GPUs, and the dressed world is heavier than the targets: forests take 24–26 ms a frame (#104).
- Run the renderer on DirectX 12 and Vulkan (Windows, Linux); fix shader and format
differences (
frag_depth, R32Float textures, storage buffers, texture array limits). - Pick a minimum spec and a recommended one; measure town, forest and a fight on both.
- Bring forests and Aquais under the target: shadow-shell and impostor costs in dense nature, sprite LOD or caps, a low preset that is really light.
- Memory: streaming the world window and the sprite atlas within the minimum spec's VRAM.
Done when the alpha scenes hold 60 fps on the minimum spec and the low preset, on Windows and macOS.
